Henry Perichon Gilded Necklace with Jeweled Cabochons

About the Item

This is a stunning Henry Perichon (aka Henry), Medieval revival gilded bronze pendant necklace. The bronze metal pendant with antique Middle-Age design influences is ornated with faceted French black jet glass cabochons, orange topaz, and yellow citrine crystal rhinestones. Heavy gilded bronze worked chain. The pendant is engraved "Henry Paris" on the back, and the choker has a lobster closing clasp. The necklace is in good condition, with wear on gilded bronze due to regular use. Measurements: The necklace's total length is 17.75 in (45 cm), the drop is 10.25 in long (26 cm), and the pendant is 3 in wide (7.6 cm) x 2.63 in high (6.7 cm). Note: Henri Perichon (1910 - 1970), known as "Henry," is one of the most inventive French jewelry designers of the 20th Century. His studio was in Lyon, where he worked on mediums such as bronze, silver, white metal, or resin (Talosel). His style is hard to define, reflecting many influences, including Ancient, Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, and Art Deco. Many famous actresses from the 1950s and 1960s, like Claudette Colbert, Suzanne Flon, Michele Morgan, and Edwige Feuillére, wore his jewelry on stage and in real life.
