About the Item
A stunning antique Art Deco - Victorian - Edwardian Platinum Diamond Lavaliere Pendant Necklace with 32 sparkling white Old European Cut Diamonds of great beauty in a gorgeous platinum setting. This original Art Deco pendant necklace contains 2.7 Carats of Old European Cut Diamonds and dates to c1910. The Diamonds are of superb quality. They are extremely white! The detail on this extraordinary necklace is the very best. Look at the openwork design and the delicate cascading diamond flower motifs. The pendant has been conservatively appraised at $8680.00. This valuation is only for the elements of the jewel, the diamonds and platinum, and no value is given to the antique nature of the necklace which is considerable.
The OEC Diamonds are absolutely incredible. The six large diamonds total 1.4 carats and are H/I color (very white) and VS clarity (very clear). There are an additional 26 smaller OEC Diamonds which total 1.3 Carats and are G/H color and SI clarity. The diamonds are set in Platinum atop 14 Karat gold as was the custom of the period.
