ABOUT GREEN JADEITE Green jadeite is a gemstone with plenty of history because it has been part of people’s lives for centuries. It’s mainly considered a symbol of serenity, tranquillity, and purity. It’s a stone believed to bring good luck, friendship, peace, and harmony. Because of its indestructibility, it also symbolizes perfection. ............................................. TYPE OF JADEITE Type A Jadeite – Natural form We consider this the only accepted form that a jadeite should be. Type A natural jadeite means the subject qualifies free of any chemical treatment. As part of the polishing process, coating the jadeite with colourless wax is accepted so long as it does not damage the crystalline structure of the subject. After fine polishing, the jadeite item is dipped in heated wax of liquid form and once cooled down; it is buffed to give a smooth, lustrous look, much like the process of car waxing. Type B Jadeite – Chemically treated and resin-infused Type B jadeite means that the subject has been soaked in acid, which removes impurities or oxidation stains, producing a “bleaching” effect. This process lightens the colour of many materials, including jadeite, and leaves many holes or micro craters inside throughout the subject. Next, it is placed into a vacuum chamber where polymer resins are infused into it, and after the final polish, the treated jadeite looks smooth and lustrous in colour. Unfortunately, the appearance of Type B jadeite can change and deteriorate over time. When exposed to heat and sunlight, the polymer resin can discolour, oxidize, and turn yellowish. Type C Jadeite – Dyed coloring Typically, type C jadeite has undergone all the treatments of type B and added dyed colouring to the polymer resin to produce an enhanced or additional colouring effect. Certain jade collectors look for jadeite items in three colours: green, white, orange or purple. ............................................. WORKMANSHIP Gem of Art Fine Jewellery is exclusively handcrafted and is designed to be passed down for generations. ............................................. PACKAGING Each Gem of Art will have a gift box and a polishing cloth. ............................................. JEWELLERY CARE 1. Keep them dry. Avoid getting any hairspray, perfume or lotion on them. 2. Keep them separate. Store fine jewellery separately in individual bags. 3. Keep them clean. Wipe with a jewellery polishing cloth to remove skin oils and makeup. 4. Remember that with jewellery, it should always be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off. ............................................. Certified Natural Jadeite Jade Drop Pendant Necklace, Handbag Charm, Apple Green
Located in Hong Kong, HK
Here is a handbag charm / drop pendant necklace made with natural jadeite jade. It is certified. There are many different colors of jade that are represented in this handbag charm / drop pendant necklace. You have all the colors of the rainbow. Amongst the colors are the more rare apple green, lavender, and "red" Jade. There are also some icy jades in this group. This was an old old piece that we acquired over 20 years ago. It was previously used as a charm hanging on a bird cage to bring good luck. Wearing the jade where it touches your skin will also bring good luck. Natural materials with good colors like this are getting harder and harder to find. As a business stand point, no one in their right mind would make a piece like this because of the large amount of natural jade material needed. Now a days this would have been made into many pairs of earrings in order to make the most return. The untreated / unenhanced natural jade is translucent. Please refer to the detailed photos. The handbag charm / drop pendant necklace is put together with a traditional chinese string / cord. It took many hours to skillfully put this together. The string cord is adjustable to more than 25 inches and would easily go around your neck. A collector would want this piece for their collection. This would be a great gift for that special someone. Please refer to the many high definition photos for more details. We can also provide a HD video. The handbag charm / pendant is about 12.2x9.7x5mm. Total weight is 90 grams. I can see this on a limited edition Hermes bag...
