Spanish 1721 2 Reales Silver Coin Diamond 18k Gold Pendant
About the Item
A very sharply struck 2 Reales silver coin from the realm (1700 - 1724) of the Spanish monarch King Philip V displays the coat of arms of Castile and Leon and the date of striking: 1721. The center depicts the traditional arms of Castile (the castle) quartered with the arms of León (the lion). In 1230, Ferdinand III united the two kingdoms and created the combination which became the symbol of Spain. The legend of HISPANIARUM REX (King of Spain) surrounds. This coin is set within a Steven Battelle designed handmade double twist wire 18K gold setting with a 1.8mm VS1 diamond accent set below. The 18K handmade hammered chain shown is not included, but can be ordered additionally. It comes in 18”, 20”, and 24” lengths. We discount our chains 20% when ordered with a pendant.

Eventually forming a partnership with a dedicated group of Balinese village goldsmiths using painstaking handmade techniques, they together create unique designs that incorporate those timeless and classic motifs. He incorporates primarily cabochon gemstones as well as ancient Greek and Roman coins, each piece capturing the feelings of a bygone age.
