About the Item
Wendy has always been inspired by skulls, as artists have been for centuries. Skull jewelry is known by the Latin phrase "Memento mori" -- "remember you are mortal." This particular design was inspired by the story of "Juana la Loca," who was the daughter of Isabella and Ferdinand of Spain, and the rightful ruler of the kingdom of Castile in the 16th century. The locket has black-diamond-studded bones on the front and opens to reveal a skull with black diamond eyes.
