Vinaigrette in Gold, Enamel and Precious Stones
About the Item
Pot-shaped, gold vinaigrette in green enamel embellished with a multicolored floral motif. The hinged lid is decorated with a flowers and topped with a translucent, red enamel star and a precious stone in the center. The body of the vinaigrette features the same floral motif, and underneath is a translucent, multicolored enamel bouquet of flowers. A precious stone serves to open the vinaigrette. In the interior, a circular, openwork grill is intricately sculpted with scrollwork surrounding a central rose. This grill was used to hold a perfumed sponge in place.
