A similar exemplar with rubies is part of the V&A Collection and exhibited in the V&A in London under the number M.44 1 to 4 (Picture 8) Gilded Metal and Sapphires This vanity case is an amazing current day accessory for any detailed interior. Designed and signed by Andre Schwob, the vanity case has a rectangular outline, of reeded and textured design top set with a panel of geometric design, accented by calibré-cut sapphires bridges. It opens to reveal a fitted mirror, two covered compartments (a smaller third compartment miss a cover), a lipstick holder and a lighter,. Once a functional necessity, this one of a kind collectible is now a magical piece of fine art.
