Early 20th Century Silver Filigree Clutch Bag Purse Handle
About the Item
This early 20th century filigree ladies bag wrist carrier is made of silver. The silver is beautifully made of fine filigree and the hook on top is designed into grapes and leaves.
This silver chatelaine was used as a bag carrier. The purse or bag was hung on the hook below while the flat curved piece on the top was placed on the women's wrist. This bag handle can be compared with today's clutch bag.
The clutch carrier is in good condition and measures 16.8 x 8.4 centimeters and weighs 23.66 grams.
