Antique Diamond and Sapphire Snake Ring, 9k Yellow Gold
About the Item
You can't help but be charmed by this impeccable antique, late Victorian diamond and sapphire double snake ring.
Coils of rich yellow gold form the body of these handsome intertwined snake pals, the heads are modelled at the face of the ring with the snakes both having sparkling diamond set eyes.
Set to the head of one there is a beautiful old cut diamond with the most gorgeous twinkle Approx 0.20ct of diamonds in total.
The other head is set with a vibrant and rich blue sapphire of approx 0.11ct.
This is a substantial piece, exceptionally well made with
the beautiful combination of sapphire and diamond.
The snake ring was catapulted into popularity when Queen Victoria received a snake ring from her beloved Albert.
No marks, tests as 9kt gold, c1890s.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, light surface wear.
