Hsu Yun Chin is an award-winning designer and artist based in London. Born in Taipei, Taiwan, she has studied in Canada, Florence, Italy and graduated with an MA from the Royal College of Art, London in 2014. Hsu has teamed up with representational galleries in Taipei and Shanghai to provide better services for international online customers. Hsu's creation is a reflection of the boundaries between the people, the aesthetic of the object, and the sculptural association of both. It is a study on the materiality of emotions, on the concretization of the invisible, on the interpretation of sensitivity. Materials, shapes and colours are articulated to elaborate objects out of abstraction. Hsu also creates handcrafted innovative jewellery out of noble materials to explore the relationship between the body and the sculpture. HSU understands jewellery as much as a visually poetic and a physical experience. The harmony of Hsu's creation relies on a refined aesthetic, an equilibrium between form and meaning, discreteness and character, sophistication and authenticity.
