About the Item

A fine and impressive antique 0.15 carat natural ruby and 0.75 carat diamond, 18 karat white gold, platinum set dress ring; part of our antique jewelry and estate jewelry collections This impressive antique French Art Deco ring has been crafted in 18k white gold with a platinum setting. The low profile, angular pierced decorated frame displays a feature central, circular design in subtle relief ornamented with seven old European cut diamonds. The upper borders of this design are embellished with eight further diamonds and accented with twelve channel set French cut rubies. The subtly stepped shoulders integrate into the circular pattern, accented with collet set diamonds, four claw set in platinum to the outer cushion shaped design. A further four Dutch cut diamonds displayed at each corner complete the design. The elevated, subtly flared, pierced decorated shoulders integrate almost seamlessly with the hallmarked plain 18k white gold ring shank. The exterior of the shank is hallmarked with the French eagle's head and maker's mark. This fine white gold ruby ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card. The antique ring's setting has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum.
