1940s 10.50 Carat Sapphire with Yellow Gold and Platinum Cocktail Ring
About the Item
A stunning vintage 5 carat pink sapphire and 5.5 carat blue sapphire, 18 karat yellow gold and platinum dress ring; part of our diverse vintage jewellery collections
This stunning, fine and impressive blue and pink sapphire ring has been crafted in 18k yellow gold and platinum.
The simple yet effective, twist design ring shank is ornamented with a platinum four claw set set 5.50 ct cushion cut blue sapphire, and an 18k yellow gold four claw set cushion cut pink sapphire.
The pierced decorated, elevated ring shoulders are crafted in the same metal of the corresponding setting, continuing around the shank and meeting at the reverse of the setting, to the centre.
The ring is hallmarked to the outer surface of the shank with the French marks for platinum and 18k gold (dog's head and eagle's head).
This stunning twist ring is supplied with a sapphire report card and certificate supplied by the Gemmological Certification Services, London*.
NOTE: * This documentation accredits the sapphires originating in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) and certifies that the gemstones shows no indications of heating; non-heated sapphires are a scarcity.

Condition
This stunning vintage 1940's vintage cocktail ring is fine quality set with Sri Lankan sapphires that show no indications of heat treatment.
The ring is a very good gauge of gold and is in excellent condition with very clear French hallmarks to the outer surface of the shank.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of vintage jewellery/estate jewelry.
