About the Item

A stunning 9.53 carat Ceylon sapphire and 2.58 carat diamond, 18 carat white gold and platinum set dress ring; part of our diverse vintage jewellery collections. This stunning, fine and impressive Ceylon sapphire and diamond ring has been crafted in 18 ct white gold with a platinum setting. The pierced decorated, cluster style platinum setting is ornamented with a feature 9.53 ct cushion cut natural blue Ceylon* sapphire. The sapphire is encircled by a total of fourteen Old European round cut diamonds. The 18 ct white gold pierced decorated, subtly flared ring shoulders integrate with the main setting and blend seamlessly with the plain hallmarked ring shank. The ring is hallmarked to the outer surface of the shank with the French hallmarks for 18 ct gold (eagle's head) and platinum (dog's head). * Ceylon sapphires (mined only in Sri Lanka) are known for their unique colour, ranging from very pale blue to vibrant almost electric blue. The colours noted within Ceylon sapphires occur naturally and do not tend to be heat treated, the most sought after known as the cornflower blue. This stunning vintage cocktail ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card for the diamonds in addition to a Gemmological Certification Services sapphire card.
