A stunning and impressive antique 2.30 carat diamond and platinum cocktail ring; part of our diverse antique jewelry and estate jewelry collections. This stunning, fine and impressive antique diamond cocktail ring has been crafted in platinum. The significant bombe* style, pierced decorated platinum frame displays a feature four claw set 2.05Ct Old European round cut diamond. The setting is further ornamented with interlacing curvilinear designs, integrating the tapering ring shoulders and ornamented with Old Dutch cut diamonds. The plain platinum ring shank is inscribed to the interior with 'Jimmie to Simone 1927'; this could be removed upon request. This diamond ring has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum. The ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading certificate for the principle antique diamond, in addition to an independent diamond grading report card for the supporting stones. NOTE: * Bombé (English: bomb) denotes the rounded curved bomb-shaped of the design style. Whilst the style was popularised in the Edwardian period, each following decade has provided their own adaptations and unique variations to the curving three-dimensional settings. Condition This stunning antique ring is set with a very high color graded, very high clarity graded old cut diamond displaying a fine white color, brilliance and presence; larger diamonds such as this rare example will often appear whiter than the color grading suggests. The high color graded supporting stones display a fine white color and brilliance. The ring is a very good gauge of platinum and is in excellent condition, with clear engraving to the interior of the shank.
