Antique French Ruby and Diamond Yellow Gold Cocktail Ring

About the Item

An impressive antique French 0.75 carat ruby and 0.52 carat diamond, 18 karat yellow gold and platinum set dress ring; part of our diverse antique jewelry and estate jewelry collections. This fine and impressive antique ruby ring has been crafted in 18k yellow gold with a platinum setting. The pierced decorated, stellate design is ornamented with a central bezel set Old European round cut diamond, surrounded by eight pavé set Dutch cut diamonds. Eight round mixed cut rubies are bezel set in 18k yellow gold, encircling the central arrangement. A scalloped edged frame borders the design, accented with a further thirty-two platinum pavé set Dutch cut diamonds. The pierced decorated, shaped ring shoulders are each set with two bezel set Dutch cur diamonds, joining the shank at an ornate cuff design. The sides of the main setting and shoulders are embellished with an engraved decoration. The ring is hallmarked to the outer surface of the shank with the French import marks for 18k gold (owl) and platinum (masked man). This 18k antique ruby and diamond ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card. Images do not always reflect the true color and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds.
