This South Sea pearl and diamond ring features an exceptionally large and beautiful South Sea pearl of 20mm size. The pearl is untreated. It displays a fine nacre and its natural color and luster have not been enhanced in any way. The pearl is perched on a symmetrical tulip like design. The total weight of round diamonds of top quality is 2.58 carats (F-G/VVS). The flanks of the shank are set with custom cut black onyx.
The ring is one-of-a-kind. It was handmade in Italy by maestro Giuseppe with exceptionally refined workmanship and knowhow according to an original design by Ella Gafter.

Recently, Ella has agreed to donate the brooch to their permanent collection; it will be prominently and permanently displayed in the new Hall of Gems and Minerals to open in the spring of 2021.
