GIA Certified 1.53 Ct Cushion Cut Brazilian Paraiba Tourmaline Bombe Ring

About the Item

The word “bombe” comes from the French word “Bombée,” translating directly to “domed.” It has a rich history, hailing from the Art Deco and Edwardian phases. Resting at the center of this dome style ring is a striking cushion cut Brazilian Paraiba that is burnish set into a lustrous design featuring scores of sparkling petite diamonds of differing sizes. Each diamond has been masterfully set and scattered along the soft contours of the ring for an elevated look that is delightful either worn on its own or paired together with other rings. A modern take on a vintage style that we think will always be in vogue. Known for its intense neon blue and green hues, this member of the tourmaline family has distinguished itself as one of the most remarkable and rarest gems in the world. Its unparalleled colors are reminiscent of a crystal clear swimming pool and it is nearly impossible to replicate. True Brazilian Paraiba still exists in the marketplace but it is becoming increasingly difficult and more costly to obtain as mines in that region have been depleted of rough material for quite some time. The Paraiba tourmaline is of Brazilian origin and comes with GIA Origin Report. Metal: 18kt Gold Paraiba Weight: 1.53 ct. Diamond Weight: 1.83 ct. Measurements: 10.5 mm length x 6.0 mm height
