Marchak diamond cocktail ring. Set to centre with a round brilliant cut diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.14 carats, encircled by twenty-four round brilliant cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 1.32 carats, surrounded further by twenty rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 1.80 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 4.26 carats, to an impressive stylised floral cocktail ring featuring polished edges, a geometric openwork gallery and fancy open backholing, leading to split shoulders which follow through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, numbered '33.219', makers mark 'FG', signed Marchak, French, circa 1950.
