Retro Rose Gold Citrine Ruby Cocktail Ring

A great example of the cocktail jewels so prevalent in the 1940's, this distinctive ring boasts a large honey colored citrine weighing about 67 carats flanked at the shoulders by square cut rubies, two on each side. It's a nice contrast in extremes, as you have the massive size of the citrine balanced by the finger size of the ring (6 1/2, and yes - it can be sized up or down). How big is 67 carats, you ask? Well, we measured - and the ring is 1 1/4" up and down the finger and 1 1/4" from side to side, including the ruby shoulders. It's a real statement ring, as were all those wartime jewels from the 40's. We particularly love the warmth of the rose gold ( tests 14K) balanced by the honey yellow of the citrine and the red of the rubies, as wearable today as it was 80 years back.
