About the Item
A large and unusual 25 x 26 mm hexagonal crystalline emerald is set in a handmade cupped 6-pointed 18K gold double bezel setting with "spiral wire and jawan" ornaments within the bezel below the points in this absolutely one of a kind design by Steven Battelle. There is a magical structure inside this stone. I have come across only one of this type of emerald cutting in over 30 years of sourcing. A comfortable matte-finish shank completes, currently sized 7. This ring is resizable. Totally unique in this world!

Steven Battelle
After a chance trip to SouthEast Asia in 1987, Steven Battelle became fascinated with the jewelry and iconology from the ancient cultures of Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, and Asia. Eventually forming a partnership with a dedicated group of Balinese village goldsmiths using painstaking handmade techniques, they together create unique designs that incorporate those timeless and classic motifs. He incorporates primarily cabochon gemstones as well as ancient Greek and Roman coins, each piece capturing the feelings of a bygone age. If you wish to create your own special piece, similar to a style we make, please let us know, and we'll see what we can do.
