This classic ring features a fancy yellow Ceylon sapphire, one of the rarest of all fancy-colored sapphires. Weighing an impressive 5.09 carats, the octagonal step-cut jewel displays a superb yellow hue and is certified by the Gemological Institute of America as Ceylon in origin. Accented by 0.84 carats of white diamonds and set in platinum.
Considered one of the great Art Deco jewelers, Raymond Yard was renowned for his designs that display high-quality gemstones in exquisitely crafted platinum settings. In an age of American enterprise, the iconic New York jeweler created one-of-a-kind jewels for famous clients, including the Rockefellers, Vanderbilts, Woolworths and DuPonts.
