Gubelin Certified 60.09 Carat Burmese Star Ruby Dome Ring in 18k White Gold
About the Item
Every ring collector needs a dome cabochon ring. The cutting makes the gemstone shaped and polished as opposed to faceted, resulting in a rounded obverse form. This cabochon is even more unique because of its star effect known as "asterism." Asterism is an optical effect displayed in some rubies. Star rubies have rutile inclusions that, when interacting with light, create a sort of star on gem’s surface. As certified by Gubelin (Certificate #19077068) this Burmese Star Ruby indicates no traces of artificial heating, exhibits an iconic purplish red saturation and a strong and well centered asterism at 51.03 carats. Accompanied by the ruby are oval, teeth and round shape white diamonds (DEF color, VS+ clarity) and total 9.06 carats. In total, the ring is an impressive 60.09 carats.
