Victorian Emerald and Diamond Five-Stone Ring

About the Item

A Victorian emerald and diamond five-stone ring, alternately set with three square-set emeralds estimated to weigh a total of 2 carats, accompanied by GCS Report stating to be of Colombian origin, and two old-brilliant-cut diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of 1.5 carats, flanked with rose-cut diamonds in between, all set to a gold mount with carved shoulders and shank, gross weight 4.1 grams, circa 1880, Finger size K A Victorian ring in very good condition. Unmarked , tested as 18ct gold. This superb five stone ring comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. Made in the late nineteenth century, this piece is a wonderful example of the five stone ring style that was popular in the Victorian era. The emeralds are rich and verdant, set alternately with scintillating old-cut diamonds. The stones are set in bright yellow gold, which adds warmth to the emeralds and complements the diamonds. This piece would make an ideal engagement ring for the discerning bride. The finger size of most of our rings can be adjusted and our workshop will be happy to do this free of charge. If you do not know your finger size please request us to post you a finger measure. Should you choose to make this purchase we would be delighted to send it to you in a Bentley & Skinner handmade leather case packed in a gift-wrapped Bentley & Skinner black and gold presentation box. Shortly afterwards we will send you on a valuation for insurance purposes for your reference and safekeeping.
