Antique Natural Unenhanced Burmese Ruby Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1905

Antique Burmese ruby and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with an oval old cut natural unenhanced Burmese ruby in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.70 carats, flanked by two cushion shape old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.80 carats, further adorned with six round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 2.00 carats, further set with two round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.08 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 3.88 carats, to an elegant marquise shape cluster of floral design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, the slightly raised shoulders tapering to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1905, accompanied by Swiss Gemmological Institute (SSEF) report #122661 and Gem & Pearl Laboratory report #09017.UK ring size N1/2.
