Certified 2.05 Carat Colombian Emerald in Platinum 3-Stone Engagement Ring
About the Item
Eytan Brandes made this classic and elegant three-stone ring to show off a beautiful old European cut diamond, but no sooner did he finish the ring than a dealer in New York made him an offer he couldn't refuse for the diamond.
With no diamonds of the right size in his inventory, Eytan decided to reset the ring with a 2.05 carat emerald. We sourced this stone from our favorite dealer of high-end Big Three (sapphire, ruby and emerald)gems, Premier Color Source, based in New York, and we think it's outstanding -- beautifully cut and with the fiery bright color you only get from natural emeralds.
A gemstone report from C. Dunaigre (a Swiss firm frequently used in the trade for colored stones) is included with the ring and certifies the stone is Colombian in origin and has been subject to only minor treatments. As stated in the report, "natural emeralds are commonly clarity enhanced," so the "minor" rating is a plus.

The side stones are tapered baguettes measuring 6.5mm x 3.3mm x 1.8mm (0.26 carats) & 6.5mm x 3.5mm x 2.0mm (0.25 carats). These stones are both VS1-2 clarity and F-G color. The total diamond weight is 0.51 carats.
The platinum mounting is new, but based on a classic 1930s design. The band is 2.1mm thick and 1.8mm wide. The front elevation is 7.9mm. The total weight of the ring is 5.8 grams.
Currently a size 6.25, resizing is complimentary for full-price buyers.
In addition to the gemstone report and resizing, an appraisal is included for insurance purposes.
