Mid-20th Century Emerald and Diamond Dress Ring

A mid-20th Century emerald and diamond dress ring, the octagonal-cut emerald weighing approximately 4.4 carats, accompanied by GCS Report stating to be of Colombian origin, four claw-set, surrounded by twenty-four brilliant-cut diamonds in a geometric arrangement with millegrain finials, the diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 0.5 carat, mounted in white metal tested as platinum, circa 1950, gross weight 9 grams.
A striking emerald and diamond dress ring. This ring features an impressive central emerald with a bright and lush green hue. The emerald is surrounded by a geometrically designed frame of glinting diamonds. This geometric ring has a feel of old-Hollywood glamour to it: one could imagine this ring gracing the finger of Elizabeth Taylor at a cocktail party in Beverly Hills. This fabulous ring comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and would make a bold engagement ring or a perfect accessory for an evening occasion.
