About the Item

Each diamond is unique. As dealers in antique and vintage jewels, we know that to be true of antique diamonds that are cut by hand. Yet modern diamonds, too, tell their own stories – especially those in unusual cuts and colours, those worthy of building a jewel around them. A 1.43 ct marquise-cut diamond in a glamorous champagne hue is the focal point of this gold ring. The diamond was mined in Australia's famous Argyle mine, renowned for its coloured diamonds. 90% of the world's pink diamonds as well as those in various shades of gold, cognac and champagne are sourced from the Argyle mine in Western Australia. As the mine is anticipated to close by the end of 2020, Argyle diamonds are becoming ever more sought after. The ring is in perfect condition and comes with the original sales receipt issued by jewellers Linneys of Subiaco, Western Australia in March 1992. In addition, an independent certificate of a renowned gemological laboratory has established a more recent replacement value. Both the receipt as well as the certificate will be delivered with the ring.
