About the Item

This modern bypass shank ring is done in 18-karat yellow gold. The tension set center stone has a small basket for extra security and is a pinkish-orange Spinel The one VS clarity and G color diamond is a surprise on the side of the ring and can be shown off to others or facing the person wearing the ring to enjoy the sparkle. The round Diamond weighs 0.11 carats. The Spinel was cut from a parcel of rough from Tanzania. This round brilliant cut Spinel is not heated and weighs 0.82 carats and measures 5.5 mm and with a 10 power loupe has a small inclusion, just enough to prove that it is a natural stone. The width of the ring is 10.3 mm on top and tapers down to 3.4 mm and has a comfortable euro-shank, which keeps the ring from turning. The ring size is a 7, but it can be easily sized larger or smaller. With a hardness of 8 on the moh's hardness scale, Spinels are wearer friendly. Spinels are probably one of the most misunderstood gemstones in the world. They were finally recognized as an individual mineral 150 years ago. Up until then, they were thought to be ruby. They are actually found in various colors, in placer deposits that also contain ruby and sapphire. The single refractive, cubic octagonal crystals that are not damaged can be easily used in picking out the spinel from other materials.
