An event in Georgian Antique Jewelry is the superb example of the extremely rare Eye Ring Miniature. The ring is an emotionally charged love ring depicting only the eye of a secret love. It was an attempt to show the window to the soul where deep love and intimacy are recorded. The reveal of a single eye means only the subject and owner know the identity of the giver, This blue eyed secret love is painted and placed under crystal. The gold engraving is floral. c. 1800.
