Mosheh Oved silver ring, in the form of a pigeon, is a highly collectible ring for history buffs, Oved collectors and animal jewelry lovers. Mosheh Oved, proprietor of the Bloomsbury Cameo Corner, a famous antique shop in England during the 1930's through the war and later. He was born in 1885 and lived during the second world war when England was bombed during the blitz. His clients were royalty, artists and collectors. Oved was a Jewish immigrant from Poland. During the Blitz, he went to the cellar of his shop and sculptured rings of animals and birds to keep calm. He did not create many rings and finding one is a coup. He is exhibited in the British Museum. Our ring by Oved is sterling silver with a small gold eye. The wings are on top of the finger and the beak goes down from the head to the body. Your finger is wrapped in pigeon! The size is 5. If you have a master jeweler he can size it. The weight is 12.5 grams
