Art Deco 2.12ct Diamond Solitaire Engagement Ring, c.1920s
About the Item
A stunning 2.12 carat old cut diamond is the centre of this beautifully made art deco ring. The diamond would have been cut by hand, and is graded as H in colour and SI2 in clarity. It reflects light wonderfully, giving the ring great liveliness. Three diamonds adorn each shoulder, totalling to an additional 0.19 carat. There is beautiful detailing on the gallery, which would have been formed by hand by the goldsmith at the time. The excellent craftsmanship and quality of the diamond is typical of the opulent 1920s.
