Very Large Antique Victorian Period Sheffield Silver Plate Salver or Round Tray

About the Item

A very large, Victorian period Sheffield silver plate salver. With a gadrooned piecrust rim, richly engraved center, and ornate bracket feet. Provenance: By repute, from the estate of Catherine Spencer Eddy Beveridge (who was a Socialite and Philanthropist, wife of Senator Beveridge of Indiana, and the niece of Marshall Field) and by descent in her family. Simply an amazing tray! Date: 19th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with some light dings or indentions here and there, some edge wear, some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Condition Details: There is some high point wear and spots of over-polishing to the copper here and there. The center of the salver has very slight bulging here and there. (Not visible to the eye, but it can be felt as you pass your hand over it.) Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Engraved: With floral decoration to the front. Marks: Unmarked Measurements: Diameter: ca. 22 1/2 in. Height: ca. 2 in. Items purchased from this dealer must delight you.
