Dial: An excellent original white enamel dial fully signed Chronometre Royal Vacheron & Constantin Genève with Roman numerals outer minute track and subsidiary seconds dial with original rose gold coloured spade hands and matching seconds hand.
Case: A heavy 18ct yellow gold case with the case back having an engine turned back with a round vacant cartouche. The cartouche has the intinials AC engraved in Art Deco style. The inner cuvette is fully signed. The cases are fully Swiss hallmarked numbered and have the V&C stamp and cross.
Movement: The gilt fully jewelled signed and numbered movement with compensation balance micrometer regulation and wolf's tooth winding, making this a great example of Vacheron' s craftsmanship.

The movement was made in Switzerland and the case by the London importer and retailer George Stockwell & Co. This ultra thin elegant pocket watch was crafted in solid .925/.999 sterling silver end embellished with a radial guilloche engine turned finish, topped with a purplish-blue hot enamel. Accented on both sides with floral patterns and round frames in white enamel. It is fitted on top with a movable ring to wear in a chain or a fob and two hinged lids, one of them with a semi-bombe crystal for a 30mm open face.
Dial: Silvered on a radial guilloche, analog with black Arabic numbers, black batons and blued steel hands. Secondary dial for the seconds. Inscribed in Spanish, Cronometros Escasany.
Movement: Is 28mm size 3/0, Mechanical and hand winding with onion crown. Case reference number 8725, movement serial ref; 920700.

The History
Henry Moser & Cie, often referred to as the 'Russian Swiss' company, was founded by Johann Heinrich Moser in Le Locle, Switzerland. Recognizing a vast market opportunity in Russia, the company strategically directed all its production efforts toward catering to the Russian market.
Johann Heinrich Moser, born in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, hailed from a family of watchmakers. He honed his craft in Le Locle before relocating to Russia in the 1820s. Setting up a watch workshop in St. Petersburg in 1826, he adopted the anglicized name 'Henry Moser.' By 1828, Moser had established a trade office in St. Petersburg, expanding to Moscow in 1831. He even secured a residence permit for Nizhny Novgorod. Through the Nizhny Novgorod fair, Moser's watches found their way from Russia to India and China. Components were sourced from Le Locle and assembled in St. Petersburg. Some watch cases and dials were crafted in Moscow, evident from inscriptions like "H. MOSER IN MOSCOW."
