1967 Omega Geneve Vintage Mens Cal. 565 Automatic Watch with Black Dial - SS

About the Item

NAMED ONE OF WATCHPRO MAGAZINE’S “HOT 100” - THE TOP 100 INFLUENCERS OF THE U.S. WATCH INDUSTRY. HOW CAN WE SERVE YOU? We’re new to offering our carefully curated collection on 1stDibs, but we have sold over 10,000 fine watches and exceptionally served thousands of customers with a 5.0 star rating. 1967 OMEGA GENEVE Vintage Mens Cal. 565 Automatic Watch with Black Dial - Stainless Steel Gorgeous Restored Condition -  Classic & Strong - 1 Year Warranty Today's offering showcases this gorgeously restored example of one of Omega's classic vintage Genève watches with handsome black pearl dial. Restored in a rich black pearl finish, it enhances the watch's naturally sporty character while remaining faithful to the clean, balanced design language that made these late-1960s Genèves so enduringly attractive. Rather than drawing attention through color, the dial impresses through subtlety. Its black pearl finish has a soft, understated sheen that gives the surface depth while avoiding the mirror-like reflections of a gloss dial. Against this dark backdrop, the wide applied baton markers become a defining design element, catching the light beautifully and giving the dial an unexpected sense of dimension. The polished hands and framed date window makes it feel purposeful, refined, and highly legible. The cases sharply sculpted, angular profile is unmistakably a product of the era, yet its clean geometry gives it an appearance that still feels remarkably current today. The combination of brushed and polished surfaces pairs naturally with the understated black dial, creating a watch that feels equally appropriate with casual attire or a sport coat. Its size is large enough to not look like an overly small vintage watch - the case measures 34mm in diameter, the same size as a Rolex Date model. Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 565 movement used in Seamasters from the era, and one of the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs, and the top tier offering of the 500 series. It has 24 jewels and a quick-setting date and is one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from the era. It has all of its original parts and t has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It presents in gorgeous condition. It presents as a 9.7 out of 10. Its case presents as mint. Its original Omega dial has meticulously restored - the printing could virtually pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye. Also available for sale is a period correct Omega bracelet that could be paired with it if you would like. Please inquire. As part of the restoration, the movement has been overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It is running extremely strong and true, keeping time essentially on par with a new Omega in our testing recording position. For the finishing touch, we have installed a new calfskin leather strap and aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment. Your watch is important to us, and we will take care of it for its lifetime. We provide the best after sale care in the business with an extremely experienced team of four Master Watchmakers all of whom each have over thirty-five years of experience and a large number of parts. One used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealership and was given training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center.
