This High Grade Caliber Watch was produced by the renowned house of Glycine, for the renowned Canadian House of Henry Birks & Sons. They were considered the Cartier of Canada and only carried the finest watches and jewelry in the world. The Glycine watch company was based in Bienne Switzerland and founded in 1914 by Eugene Meylan. They quickly entered the global market because of their hand made finish and exceptional quality.
That is why Birks carried their fine movements. Meylan is a member of the C.H. Meylan watchmaking dynasty. You can see their exceptional watches offered by legendary American Jewelers such as Tiffany, Shreve and J.E. Caldwell and most of the other famous houses of the day. This piece has just been given a complete service by our Finest Master Watchmaker and keeps dependable time. We have never seen this model before by Glycine and this one still has an original dial and hands with it. It is fitted with a period Sterling Silver and Spinel "Diamond" Bracelet.
