Seiko Credor Node (Ref. 4S76-00A0) It's not a Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet or Omega. It's something for the watch enthusiast in search of something a little oblique: a nearly mint condition Seiko Credor Node with the mechanical 4S76 movement. If you aren't familiar with Credor, it’s Seiko’s ultra-high-end luxury line. But wait, what about Grand Seiko? Actually, the GS sits one notch below Credor -a fact that is astonishing to experienced collectors. The name "Credor" comes from the French Crête d'Or, meaning "crest of gold," and these pieces represent the absolute pinnacle of Japanese watchmaking. They are hand-finished and traditionally reserved almost exclusively for the domestic Japanese market. Finding them outside of Japan can be a massive headache, let alone finding one in this kind of condition complete with its original box and papers. The dial layout on this Node model is incredible—super balanced, featuring a day-date display, a power reserve indicator, and a 24-hour sub-dial. It's powered by the high-grade 4S76 automatic movement, which is a treat to watch run. Weighing a satisfying 152 grams, the interior diameter is just over 7" so will fit a small to medium-sized man's wrist. There are no additional links available for this original bracelet. Created in 2004, this is a striking, fascinating, and absolutely beautiful watch that -outside of Japan- will be both impressive and entirely unfamiliar to those you encounter.
