Astonishing Seguso Vetri d'Arte white Murano glass handled vase. This piece was designed with a stunning "scavo" effect on the glass and on the metal stand.
This piece is marvellous as it is a Murano glass vase with the shape and the appearance of an ancient Roman transport amphora. This is evident from the two handles on top, the opaque white, the wide opening and the pointed bottom.
This iconic piece is attributed to Flavio Poli, who has been the artistic director of Seguso Vetri d'Arte in Murano from 1937-1963.
