These are a good set of eleven glazed ceramic wall tiles, all with a countryside theme, manufactured by Servais of Germany and dating to the mid-20th century, circa 1950. We have four sets of Eleven tiles per set and this is set 4 Each tile is nominally 4.25 inches ( 11cm) square. The tiles are in good condition but some tiles within the sets have the remains of tiling cement on the back. All the tiles have a "countryside" theme with figures in traditional dress as follow; 1) horn player with staff. 2) man walking with back pack and dog 3) figure sat on a stool making or playing something 4) man sat on chair smoking a pipe. 5) man shooting a gun 6) man walking Initially, we have four sets of eleven tiles, with each set having combinations of the above patterns with two blank tiles in each set, making all the sets slightly different.
