About the Item

"TT" is a center table, designed by Ron Gilad and manufactured by Adele-C, featuring a thin steel structure, available in RAL 5022 blue, RAL 2002 orange, pearl gray or matte black lacquered finishes, hosting one oval tray with moulded borders in natural Italian walnut, connected to the structure by means of magnetic pins. DIMENSIONS: D. 13.7", W. 23.6", H. 13.7" (structure) - D. 15.7", W. 42.5" (oval tray) Ron Gilad said about "TT": "The name "TT" is an abbreviation of Tray Table, a tray that becomes a small table, a horizontal surface that seems to fly inside a metal cage." RON GILAD (Tel Aviv 1972) is an Israeli-born designer who aims to disorder the boarders between functionality and abstraction. His hybrid creations combine minimalism and humour, defy reason and are yet absolutely practical, showing his talent in using materials with an aesthetic play. His works deal with the relationship between the object and its function, questioning our perceptions. He accentuates perspective with his sculptural shapes and graphic lines that tend to infinity an play with the environmental space. In Italy he works with companies such as Flos, Adele-C, De-Castelli, Dilmos, Salvatori, Nodus and Molteni&C. His works appear in solo exhibitions, such as the one in Tel Aviv Museum of Art, and in numerous collective exhibitions. They are part of the Israeli public collections and abroad such as the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum in New York. In 2013 he received the Wallpaper Design Award (Designer of the Year; Best Domestic Design) and Elle Décor International Design Award (Designer of the Year; Furniture Design). ADELE-C collection, including and extending the legacy of the well-known Cassina brand, consists of pieces of design indifferent to passing fads and ready to show new paths for interior design. Adele-C collection is typically ready to naturally adapt to any space, as its sobriety in style and quality of materials are simply perfect to enrich any room in a refined way.
