Urbane New York Apartment

For us, there’s nothing more satisfying than to see a home reach its fullest potential. In this case, we were blessed with a duplex apartment with extremely interesting bones, and a client that was eager to let us play archaeologist. In addition to restoring the living room’s highly unusual fireplace and romantic tracery ceiling, we completely reinvented the rest of the home’s layout to improve function and flow. With a swank gentlemen’s club as our design inspiration, we chose deep saturated colors for the public rooms, which not only set a masculine tone, but also provided the perfect backdrop for the client’s impressive art collection. By blending in bold, futuristic lighting and clean mid-century furnishings, we punched up the contrast, making for interiors that feel fresh and dramatic.
