Adam Lippes

Fashion Designer

Luxury sportswear designer Adam Lippes creates the kind of impeccably tailored, economically elegant womenswear that values quality above flash. Before launching his eponymous line in 2013, Lippes did stints at Ralph Lauren and Oscar de la Renta, where he served as creative director. Lippes work has been featured in publications including W, Harpers Bazaar, Elle and the New York Times. Lippes is also an avid design collector, and the classic, refined aesthetic of his ready-to-wear is echoed in his homes. Lippes’s newly-renovated Washington Square Park duplex and country house in the Berkshires —featured in Architectural Digest and Vogue, respectively — boast furniture by Thonet and Edward Wormley, and artwork by Robert Motherwell and Milton Avery.
