Donna Karan has been an influential force in the fashion industry since founding her eponymous label in 1985. A true revolutionary, she forever changed the way women dressed, conceiving soft, body sculpting monochromatic clothes that enabled a woman to look sexy and empowered. A philanthropist, yogi and globe-trekker, Karan set out to merge commerce and charity with the launch of luxury lifestyle brand Urban Zen. “I have spent decades dressing people. Now I want to address them," Karan says. Urban Zen offers global artisan treasures as well as Karan-designed apparel, accessories and home décor while supporting the Urban Zen Foundation, dedicated to the preservation of culture, integrative healthcare and education. We asked Karan to share her singular eye and select a collection of her favorite items from 1stdibs. More
