Kate Valentine and Andy Spade are the founders of Frances Valentine, a new accessory collection that marries clean, spirited American design with European craftsmanship. Valentine and Spade — who have been married for over two decades — co-founded the popular handbag label kate spade in 1993. Under Valentine’s design direction, the brand blossomed into a global juggernaut with hundreds of stores around the world. After the couple exited the company in 2006, Spade co-founded the advertising studio Partners & Spade. He is also a co-founder of luxury loungewear line Sleepy Jones.
