Original vintage travel poster for Bermuda - on the Queen of Bermuda. Scenic design by Adolph Treidler (1886-1981) featuring a lady wearing green chequered shorts riding a bicycle next to a policeman standing by a Keep Left notice, a couple enjoying a horse and carriage ride and people waving from the dockside to a large cruise ship at sea in the background. Launched in 1932, the SS Queen of Bermuda was a British turbo-electric ocean liner that provided passenger services between New York and Hamilton Bermuda for Furness Bermuda Line (Furness, Withy & Co Ltd); she served as a military troop ship during WWII from 1939-1943 and resumed passenger services after the war; in 1966 the Furness Bermuda Line was closed down and the Queen of Bermuda was sold for scrap and broken up in Scotland. Good condition, restored creasing, restored tears through image, restored staining, backed on linen.
