This exceptional antique Exeter sterling silver goblet has a circular bell-shaped form onto a knopped stem and circular spreading foot. The body of this exceptional Victorian goblet is embellished with two bright cut engraved viola floral sprays, incorporating two arched cartouches. One cartouche bears the original bright cut engraved illustration of root vegetable, and the other remains vacant. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George III English sterling silver goblet; an addition to our Georgian wine and drinks related silverware collection This exceptional antique Georgian sterling silver goblet has a plain circular bell shaped form to a circular, knopped pedestal foot. The body of this antique silver goblet is embellished with impressive embossed and chased medallion designs, accented with ribbon bows and conjoined with bud festoons. The upper portion is encircled with an engraved decorated interlacing border. The waisted, knopped pedestal and circular spreading foot are encompassed with applied bead decorated borders. This impressive example of Georgian silverware retains the original gilded interior. Condition This antique 1700s silver goblet is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The embossed and chased decoration is all sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body are very clear; the first portion of the maker's mark has worn in keeping with age and location. A magnificent, exceptional, fine and impressive, pair of large antique Georgian English sterling silver architectural column candlesticks; part of our ornamental silverware collection. These magnificent antique Georgian English sterling silver candlesticks have a plain subtly tapering columnar form. The large and impressive Corinthian capital of each candlestick retains the original hallmarked detachable push fit sconce ornamented with a plain moulded rim. The cylindrical columns are supported by a cuboid plinth to an impressive plain square stepped three tier base. Each plinth is embellished with a fine and impressive bright cut engraved coat of arms depicting the Head family coat of arms encircled with a belt accented with the family motto 'Study Quiet'. The bases retain the original contemporary engraved inscription 'A token of respect from Francis Head to her aunt Dame Mary Ann Head. 1803' to the lowest tier. Both candlesticks are fitted with turned mahogany bases to the underside. These magnificent Georgian candlesticks were crafted by George Eadon, George Kibbles & John Weaver of George Eadon & Co. The title ‘Dame’ was the traditional style for the wife of a baronet at this time and before although it was interchangeable with the title ‘Lady’. Condition These antique Georgian candlesticks...
