About the Item

19th Century French Gilt Bronzed Sculpture “Boy with Flute”, Signed Aug. Moreau. Large sculpture of a young boy with an aulos (double flute), created by French artist Auguste Moreau (1834-1917). It features an adorable, mythical pan of ancient legend. The rare image is casted with wonderful details in bronzed spelter with a gilded finish. The antique statue is converted into a lamp. The lamp sculpture is in very good condition commensurate with age and wear. Wiring is not checked. Measurements: Statue H 29 “ x W 9 ½” x D 9 ½” Lamp to socket H 36” Weight: 30 lbs.
