18th C. Meissen Porcelain Lattice Filigree Reticulated Basket w/ Vine Handles

About the Item

An incredible 18th century Meissen Porcelain lattice filigree reticulated basket with vine handles and encrusted flowers. This piece is very rare, especially in this condition with hand-painted applied flowers and turquoise blue on the exterior of the lattice basket. The handles are in the form of green vines which entwine around either side of the basket. The basket-weave lattice pattern is quite gorgeous, with each section hand-carved with immaculate precision. The top edge is adorned in 24k gilt decoration. The bottom is marked with blue crossed swords mark. Germany, Circa: 1760-1780.
