The enamel and silver egg covers detach from a bayonet style fitment to a brown enamel decorated egg cup; once the cover is removed it can be determined the pieces were commissioned to be used as functional egg cups. The spoons have circular rounded bowls to plain waisted stems and terminate with cast finials encircled with scalloped borders and circular motifs, accented with initial 'M' to one and 'N' to the other. These vintage silver and enamel salt and pepper set are fitted to the original hinged crimson leatherette presentation box, with a velvet and satin lined interior and secures with two hinged catches.
