Large Sunburst 1930s Wall Mirror Made of Gold-Plated Wood
About the Item
A vintage French gilt wood sunburst mirror from 1930s, with layered rays and small mirror plate. Created in France during art deco period, this sunburst mirror features a central mirror plate surrounded by a cloudy frame resting on a first layer of short wavy sun rays. An additional layer with straight rays of varying sizes completes the ensemble. The result is striking with its lively depiction of a radiating sun that will warm up any room it is placed in. With its handsome silhouette and nice proportions, this French sunburst mirror circa 1950 will be a great focal point in any home, perhaps hung above a dresser, credenza or console table.
