About the Item
Magnificent wall mirror, frame from the time of the late Biedermeier, made around 1860-1870, in Austria.
The frame strip is wonderfully designed with two different decorative strips. The outer area is designed with acanthus leaves running outwards, the inner area is decorated with fine little ivy tendrils.
This extraordinary historical object still has the original back wall, the surface is glazed, partly bronzed and has gold plating.
The rounded corners and the sculptural and relief decoration run around the curve are also special.
Measurements approx.: height 70 cm - 27,56 in, width 50 cm - 19,69 in, depth 7,5 cm - 2,95 in.
The mirror has a metal ring on the back that allows it to be hung immediately.
The frame is an original from the mid-19th century, the Biedermeier period from Austria with a very special design.
